We know that online security is as important to you as it is to us. We also know that the whole subject can be a little scary. Don't worry, this section is here to tell you all you need to know about the potential threats to your personal data - and what we can all do to help stop them.
What is phishing?
It doesn't sound very nice does it? And it isn't. But with a few simple precautions, you can easily aviod the problems of phishing.
What is spyware?
It is not something you'd find in a James Bond movie but a piece of software that spies on your personal information.
What is a trojan?
Like the mythical horse, a trojan can be a rather unwelcome surprise. Essentailly, it's an email or a website link designed to install harmful programs on your computer.
What is a virus?
Like the viruses we humans catch, a virus on your computer can be, at best, irritating. At worst, well. let's just say we should all do our best to stop them getting onto our PCs.
