How long does it take to open an account?
We do our best to keep this process as speedy and straightforward as we can. By supplying us with everything we need at the same time as you make your application, you will be helping us to keep the process to a minimum.

How much can I deposit in a Fixed Rate Web Saver Account?
You can deposit any amount between £1,000 and £1,000,000.

Can I make additional deposits?
Once you've opened your account, you cannot add any additional funds. You can, however, open additional accounts, although we may limit the number of accounts you can open if the total amount in those accounts exceeds £1,000,000.
When and how is interest paid?
Interest is paid at maturity for the 6 month and 1 year terms and annually (on the anniversary of the date the opening payment is made into your account) for the 2 and 3 year terms. Interest is paid into your Sterling Variable Web Saver account.
What if I need access to my funds before the maturity date?
Part withdrawals are not allowed, however, we understand that you may need early access to your money, so after six months, you can close your account. We will simply charge a fee equivalent to six days' interest for each remaining month or part month of the investment term, subject to a minimum of 30 days' interest.
Will I get confirmation of my investment?
Yes. We will send a certificate of investment when you open your account, stating when the maturity date will be.
What will happen to my money when the account matures?
On maturity your savings and interest are transferred into the Sterling Variable Rate Web Saver which must be opened at the same time as your Fixed Rate account.
What if I want to reinvest my funds?
If, on maturity of your account, you wish to reinvest your funds in another Fixed Rate Web Saver Account at the prevailing interest rate (which may be different to the rate on your maturing account), you will need to contact us at least 5 bank working days prior to the maturity of your account with your instructions, and we will let you know what is available to you. If we do not hear from you by this time, on maturity of your account, the principal held in the account together with any interest which we owe you will be paid into your Sterling Variable Rate Web Saver.
